Result - Newenden won by 84 runs ( Newenden 276-6, Morris 100*, Jones Snr 44, Benenden 192 All Out, Gilmour 4-36)

Apologies for the late update on this match, I was a little preoccupied last week.

A brief summary of the game. Newenden won the toss and opted to bat.Morris and Jones Jnr put on 52 for the first wicket, before Jones was bowled by a good slower ball. Simpson and Jones Snr made some solid contributions as we amassed 276 from out 40 overs, with Morris scoring his maiden ton for the club.

After a cracking tea from Big Dave and Frankie, we took to the field. Benenden started solidly with only one wicket going down in the first ten overs. Then debutant Stuart Edlin came on and picked up two wickets in two balls and opened the game right up. Benenden continued to hit the ball about but were losing wickets at regular intervals, with Gilmour picking up 4-36 from his spell. Benenden were finally all out for a valiant 192.

It was a fun game, played with a great spirit, which everyone enjoyed.
