Newenden Cricket Club Lost - Castle Hill beat Newenden Naughties in the final

Match report NEWENDEN SIXES 2021
Sunday saw the NCG host our second sixes tournament and it was even better than last year.

A big crowd saw six very strong sides compete for the trophy with Castle Hill coming out on top following a nail-biting victory over Newenden Naughties in the final.

Our other two teams didn't fare so well, with the Nightmares beating the Nitros in the wooden spoon contest.

We raised an amazing £700 on the day, mainly due to Chirag Patel (from TN17 in Sissinghurst) very generously donating all of the food for the BBQ.

I would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day, in particular Garry Smith, Jim Piper, Charlie Sloan, Richard Gutteridge and all the umpires, the event wouldn't have run so smoothly without all your efforts.

Let's hope Newenden can win the trophy back next year.
