Although he has been a Club Vice-President for many years, Peter has only been a playing member for the last season or two, in order to fullfil an ambition to play in the same side as his sons. From 1965, he played cricket for a number of clubs, batting at No.2 and keeping wicket (he cannot bowl), finally achieving a life-time dream to play on the hallowed Lord's pitch in 2000 at the age of 50. Having "filled out" a bit in later life, he is more likely, in his whites, to be used as a sight-screen in the seasons ahead. Proud recipient of the 2007 Chairman's Special Award in Feb 2008.
